What is Grown Up and Me?

Grown Up & Me is a playful, hands-on class designed for toddlers and their grown-ups to explore, create, and learn together. Each session invites children to experiment with sensory materials, simple tools, and open-ended activities that support early development—without pressure to create a “perfect” project.

These classes are process-based, meaning the focus is on exploration, curiosity, and skill-building rather than a finished product. Your child might paint, squish, scoop, build, pour, or investigate textures—all while strengthening fine motor skills, practicing independence, and discovering new ways to interact with the world around them.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Grown Up & Me is designed for toddlers 18 months to 4 years old with a grown-up.

We know that for many children—especially those closer to 18 months—this may be their very first class experience. It’s completely okay if your child needs to walk around, take breaks, observe instead of participate, or even have a few big feelings along the way. Our classes are flexible and child-led.

    • Follow simple directions

    • Hold a crayon, paintbrush, or similar tool

    • Refrain from constantly putting materials in their mouth (or respond to reminders not to)

If your child is still frequently mouthing objects, it may be best to wait a few more months. There’s no rush—this class will be here when they’re ready!
